On Tuesday (23), Axia carried out an institutional visit to the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), including stops at the Samambaia Technology Park and the Regional Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CRTI). The goal was to initiate discussions for potential partnerships with UFG aimed at establishing Axia’s future Research, Technological Development, and Innovation Center (R&D&I), specialized in rock and soil analysis.
Axia’s initiative seeks to establish a public-private partnership to create the first center with this focus in Brazil’s Central-West region. The proposal aims to internalize strategic steps that are currently outsourced, providing greater quality control, agility, and autonomy in mineral research processes.

The Axia delegation included:
– Leonardo Prudente – Executive Director
– Silmar and Hiann – Representatives of Resulte
– Technical team and institutional representatives of the company
The team was welcomed at the Technology Park by:
– Professor Jesiel Carvalho – Vice-Rector of UFG
– Tiago Mendonça – Director of the Faculty of Science and Technology and of the Technological Center at UFG
– Luizmar Adriano Júnior – Executive Director of the Samambaia Technology Park – UFG
At CRTI, the meeting brought together faculty members from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT), including:
– Professor José Nogueira
– Professor Estela Leal
– Professor Gradisca, Deputy Director of FCT
During the visits, technical and academic cooperation opportunities were discussed, along with presentations of laboratories, physical infrastructure, and prospects for integration between the university and the productive sector. The creation of the R&D&I center reinforces Axia’s commitment to innovation and the sustainable development of the mineral sector, while also promoting professional training and scientific knowledge exchange.
“Collaboration with UFG is strategic for positioning Goiás as a reference in applied research in the mineral sector,” highlighted Axia’s technical team.
In the next steps, the physical facilities, priority areas of focus, and the necessary investments for the center’s implementation will be defined.
