Axía Mineração S.A. and the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) have formalized a significant partnership for collaborative scientific research. This agreement, established at the Foundation for Research Support (FUNAPE), aims to boost technical-scientific investigation of mineral deposits in Goiás and Tocantins. The strategic partnership unites Axía Mineração’s expertise with UFG’s academic excellence, promoting responsible discovery and development of mineral resources. Axía Mineração will provide funding for research activities.

UFG’s Geology Faculty will contribute significantly, with three highly qualified professors specializing in Geophysics, Geostatistics, Geochemistry, and Structural Geology. These experts will play a crucial role in fieldwork, technical visits, reporting, and data processing. Additionally, two undergraduate research students (PIBIC) and one final-year student will participate, gaining practical experience while contributing to ongoing research projects.

This initiative marks a significant milestone for advancing scientific research and sustainable development in Goiás and Tocantins’ mining industry. The Axía-UFG partnership promises substantial results in identifying and responsibly exploring mineral deposits, driving economic and social progress.
